Woman With Multiple Warrants Caught With Heroin In Stony Point

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Stony Point Police nabbed a Hudson Valley woman who was wanted on multiple warrants with heroin when a detective spotted her on Monday.

Michelle Squillante, 47,  of Tomkins Cove, was stopped at 262 N. Liberty Drive, after a detective saw her and knew that she was wanted on multiple warrants, said Lt. Daniel Hylas. 

During the stop a small amount of heroin was uncovered, he added.

Squillante was charged criminal possession of a controlled substance and the following warrants:

  • Possession of a forged instrument 
  • Grand larceny 
  • Criminal possession of stolen property
  • Possession of a hypodermic instrument
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle (2 counts)
  • Speeding, equipment violations, and unlicensed operation.

She is being held at the Rockland County Jail on $2,500 bail.

Stony Point Police also arrested a West Haverstraw man for possession of a pot when he was stopped on Sept. 13 for speeding.

Franklyn Soto, 23, was arrested after officers found 43 grams of pot in his vehicle. He was released without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 19.
